“Effective fund raisers are not fast-talking salespeople trying to bring a quick buck to the institution. They are people who share and convey a deep belief in the merit and worth of the organization they represent ... You have to believe that your institution makes a difference.”

Jerold Panas
“Born to Raise: What Makes a Great Fund Raiser”

Thanks to the generosity of our listeners during past fundraisers, we have been able to purchase over $40,000 worth of new equipment to improve WRUW’s sound during the 2007-2008 fiscal year.

As you do your telethon show this year, please thank our listeners for making all of these purchases possible. Their money was put to very good use.

One Soundcraft GB8 24-Channel Mixer for mixing live bands. Includes a new wiring "snake" to connect microphones in Studio A to the mixing room under the stairs. Used every Thursday night to broadcast the "Live From Cleveland" show.

Additional Work Done in 2007-2008

Upgraded our air signal to all-digital flow from our console through to our transmitter. This has resulted in a significant improvement in sound quality for our signal! Required the installation of a new broadcast-delay unit, and a new feed for our internet stream.
